Bhubaneswar: The annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination will be conducted from February 22 to March 8.
Giving details about the examination schedule at a press briefing here, BSE president Dr Jahan Ara Begum said that the Madhyama and State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examinations will be conducted simultaneously with the annual HSC examination.
The total examinees include, 5,45,364 regular, 25,008 ex-regular, 2,106 correspondence course regular and 221 correspondence ex-regular candidates.
As many as 304 nodal centres have been identified across State for safe custody of the question papers and 693 dispatch teams will be engaged to transfer the booklets from nodal centre to examination centres.
Some major reforms have been incorporated this year. The board has changed the timing of the examination from 9 AM to 10 AM. Accordingly the distribution timings of question papers, opening of the OMR sheet have also been changed.
Also, unlike previous years, the question sets will be sent to the centres in the morning on the day of the exam.
