Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has completed all preparations for the smooth conduct of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination scheduled to be held from February 22 to March 8.

Over five lakh students of the state will appear for the examination this year in 2,953 centres.

This year, various initiatives has been taken up by the School and Mass Education department for the smooth conduct of the examinations. While around 500 examination centres will be under CCTV camera surveillance, section 144 will be clamped at more than 200 sensitive centres.

For the first time, the question sets will be sent to the centres in the morning on the day of the exam.

Mobile phones have also been banned from the exam centres. Even, the centre superintendents have been barred from using the mobile phones unless there is an emergency.
