Bhubaneswar: People across Odisha have already started experiencing heatwave-like conditions from halfway through February with the Capital city Bhubaneswar recording the highest temperature in the country of 39.2 degrees Celsius on Friday.

As many as 13 places in the State recorded temperature above 35 degrees Celsius. Malkangiri remained the hottest district in Odisha with 39.2 degrees Celsius followed by Cuttack with 37.2 degrees Celsius.

The temperature is likely to increase further. However, the Met has also forecast rain from February 26 for two to three days under the influence of Western disturbance.
