Bhubaneswar: Batoi, the leading local software company with cloud-based software applications and tools hosts its second conclave on cloud technologies on February 27, 2019. The conclave titled “Batoi Cloud Conclave 2019” brings together technology experts, software architects, developers, researchers, students and enthusiasts in a full-day event at the Hotel Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar.

With the rapid adoption of Cloud Computing in software labs and service companies, the software development process has undergone a radical transformation from traditional IT management models, development tools and software application architecture. The talks and panel discussions centred around this theme and focus on different use-cases and concerns.

On the eve of the conclave Mr Ashwini Rath, Director and CEO, Batoi said, “The main attraction of this event is to deliberate on the impact on DevOps, Business IT and Security, due to the rapid acceptance of cloud-based model across industry and academia.”

Senior professors and experts delivered talks and deliberated on technologies like Artificial Intelligence, IoT and Data Analytics among others. Security methods, techniques and tools were discussed by professionals drawn from industry including names like GlobalSign.

`The inaugural session of the conclave witnessed the demonstration of Batoi Open Source Framework (OSF). The framework exploits the multi-tier architecture of the Internet and is based on a robust foundation of data storage and access mechanisms. It provides an excellent and easy way to create adaptive applications that can be used across devices, and a comprehensive API suite to connect to other software systems and IoT sensors. The data management is controlled through different design patterns and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) scheme. The open source nature of the framework boosts the interoperability of data and applications across computing platforms.

Two partner companies spoke the use of Batoi Cloud Platform in their business. Batoi team members demonstrated how to install and use the Batoi OSF to create and manage their software applications with ease, that can help them to save their productive time and reduce bugs in the software.

When asked about Batoi, Mr Ashwini Rath, said, “While different cloud providers are having their own proprietary model of service delivery, Open Source nature of Batoi’s Framework and least learning curve involved will make people adopt cloud faster. Batoi Cloud Platform will transform the way we create and use software”.

Adding more Mr Rath said, “Batoi’s ability to customize apps while ensuring the interoperability of data and software while strictly adhering to the open source software all adds to the distinct features of the company’s Cloud platform”.

The other major attraction of the event is the panel discussion on “Emerging Technologies and Start-up Ecosystem”. Batoi announced its program and offerings for high-end technology start-ups, called the Batoi Innovate Program. The initiative includes a solution Suite from Batoi for supporting startups and fledglings with Technology Lab, Cloud App for managing Innovation Centres, and an online network for business intelligence and engaging with mentors and experts.

On this occasion, Batoi Events Cloud Services was launched. The service intends to help event organizers create a more personalized attendee experience through community building. The service offers tools that allow event organizers to create and manage an event by easily tracking attendees and invitees, post updates among others. In short, the event organizer gets a platform and tools to publish and manage their events; event-goers get to find events around them and participate and network with others.

On the sidelines of the Conclave, exhibition booth spaces were provided, wherein companies including Batoi showcased and promoted their products and services. The event provided the exhibitors with a platform to meet new prospects, to discuss collaborations with future partners and to generate brand awareness.

More than 150 delegates including entrepreneurs, software architects, decision makers in IT, web designers and developers, faculty members and students participated in the conclave.

Other highlights of the conclave included a social media contest along with surprise gifts from Batoi, and other exhibitors at the event and a gift shop, wherein participants could purchase gifts by exchanging currencies that they had collected by visiting the exhibition booths at the event.
