Bhubaneswar: The National Handloom Expo 2019 kicked off at IDCO Exhibition Ground, Unit-III here on Friday.

Around 150 weavers and artisans from Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura,
Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Tripura, Punjab, Karnataka, Pondicherry, Manipur, Gujarat, Haryana and Bihar have participated and are exhibiting a wide variety of sarees, bed sheets, dress materials, household items, bed covers, bed sheets among others.

The exhibition provides a platform for the weavers to sell their produce directly to consumers without the interference of middlemen and uplifts them economically.

The exhibition will be open to public from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm every day and will conclude on March 28.
