Bhubaneswar: Odisha State Redcross Unit hosted a first-aid training session for physically handicapped blind girls at Ramadevi Women’s University which ended on 11th April, 2019.

It’s a noble attempt from Odisha State Red-cross Unit to train physically handicapped blind girl volunteers on first-aid sectors. As many as 13 physically handicapped blind girl volunteers were trained by Dr. Bikash Prasad.

These girls were trained on orthopaedic, blockage in throat, bleeding, sun-stroke and poisoning  and they displayed their skills before the guests at the function. 

Being invited as the Chief Guest of the function, Vice-Chancellor of Ramadevi Women’s University Dr. Padmaja Mishra, Odisha Red Cross unpaid secretary Kalpana Das and Ramadevi Women’s University Principal Professor Dr. Sarita Supakar encouraged the physically handicapped volunteers. Ramadevi University advisor and first-aid training instructor Dr. Sushil Kumar Patnaik and Redcross Project Coordinator Gulshan Kumar Das were also present.
