Bhubaneswar: The young girl from Balasore, Odisha, Anuska Ray made the state  proud by winning first prize at first International Space Science Conference (ISSC), held in Orlando, USA.

Anuska was among the 13 students from St. Vincent Convent School who got the opportunity to visit NASA’s Kennedy Space Research Center and participated in ISSC.

The students were given educative training for 3 days at Kennedy Space Center before appearing for the competition in ISSC.

The award was presented by NASA astronaut Winston Scott in the presence of FIT (Florida Institute of Technology) ED Nathaniel Miller. By winning this award, Anuska’s entire higher education will be sponsored by  FIT. Anuska is the daughter of DRDO scientist Arun Kumar Ray and AGM of Nesco Utility Malancha Ghosh.
