Odisha Elections 2019: Vote Counting underway


Bhubaneswar: Counting of vote for the 21 Lok Sabha seats and 146 Assembly seats in the state is underway.

The counting began at 08:00 AM today amid tight security. As many as 6,700 officials have been engaged in 63 centres across the state for the process.

Seven tables each have been allocated for counting of votes of Assembly and the Lok Sabha seats. Apart from this, a micro observer has also been appointed for every table to ensure fair counting of vote.

As per latest trends, in the Assembly seats, the ruling Biju Janata Dal has won in 3 Assembly constituencies – Nabarangpur, Aska and Barchana and is leading in 107 seats, BJP is leading in 24 seats, Congress in 10 seats and Others in 2 seats.
