Bhubaneswar: Blistering heat wave continued to grip major parts of Odisha as mercury hovered above 40 degrees Celsius in ten places across the state on Friday.
Titilagarh continued to be the hottest with 44.2 degree Celsius.
It was followed by Sambalpur ar 43.9 degree, Hirakud 43.8 degree, Talcher 43.7 degree, Jharsuguda 43.2 and Sonepur 43.2 degree, Bolangir 42.7 degree, Bhawanipatna 41.5 degree, Malkangiri 41 and Sundargarh 40 degree.
The capital city Bhubaneswar recorded a temperature of 37.7 degree and Cuttack recorded a maximum temperature of 37.2 degree.
The heat wave is likely to continue for the next two-three days, the weather office in Bhubaneswar said.
