Bhubaneswar: With the ICC Cricket World Cup fever sweeping through the country, people are coming up with unique ways to extend their wishes to all the participating teams.
With the tournament beginning today, Odisha artist L Eswar Rao has made a miniature replica of the trophy on the tip of a pencil using tamarind seeds, to mark the special event.
A resident of Jatni village in Khordha district, Rao has been practicing this unique art form since last 25 years. He creates miniature art on pencil nib, soap and presents them in a bottle.
He started his own organization ‘Eswar Art and Craft Social Foundation’ where he trains children in miniature art for free. He also has a museum with his personal works on display.
