Bhubaneswar: The Southwest Monsoon that hit Kerala on Saturday is likely to arrive late by a week in Odisha, predicted India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
Met sources here in Bhubaneswar informed that southern parts in Odisha will experience pre-monsoon rain from June 13.
Meanwhile, Norwesters have brought the temperature down across the state. The highest temperature of 40°C was recorded in Sonepur on Sunday.
The temperature across the state is likely to increase and the humidity levels will remain high for a couple of days, the weatherman has forecast.
