Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha has been selected to represent India at the International Sand Sculpting Championship 2019 scheduled to be held in the US’ Boston city between July 21 and 28.
As per sources, the event is going to witness participation of as many as 15 noted sand sculptors from across the world.
Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik has participated in more than 60 international sand sculpture championships across the world and has won several awards.
He is also a Guinness Book of World record holder for creating the world’s tallest sand castle at Puri beach in Odisha.
His sculptures cover various issues including environmental crisis, peace, religious intolerance, corruption, political discord, health, national integrity and also famous leaders and religious festivals.
