Bhubaneswar: The 6th edition of prestigious Kalinga Literary Festival themed “Gandhi’s Idea of India: Truth, Harmony, Non-Violence”, will kick start in Bhubaneswar from July 19.
The key sessions during the three-day festival will be on topics including cultural nationalism, Gandhigiri, Generation Y, Odisha, media, market, cinema, and sports.
The festival will see more than 250 celebrities with the speakers deliberating on Gandhi’s works and ideas through literature, lived experiences, politics, arts and films.
Four awards in literature will also be conferred during the event. In addition, the festival will see more than 20 books and monographs release.
Besides, the star attraction of the festival will be story telling session “Dastan-E-Mantoiyat” by Syed Shadab Hussain and Meera Rizvi and the screening of Oscar-nominated director Ashvin Kumar’s “No Fathers in Kashmir”.
