Bhubaneswar: According to sources, Odisha recorded nine per cent less rainfall in July this year. The letter issued by the Special Relief Commissioner’s (SRC) office said that 17 districts of Odisha recorded less than average rainfall during the month of July, however 11 districts recorded normal.

As per the source Malkangiri and Bhadrak districts recorded highest and lowest rainfall during the month of July respectively. As a result government has released water in canals to meet the irrigation requirements for the state.
