Bhubaneswar: Odisha Natya Sangha in association with Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department and Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy organised a three-day theatre festival called ‘Natyadhara’ at Bhanjakala Mandap, here recently.
The theatre lovers of the city got a chance to watch three plays performed by troupes from Bhubaneswar, Puri and Jajpur.
On the inaugural evening, Naveen Barnali Theatre from Bhubaneswar staged the play ‘Shunyaru Shunyaku’. The play, written by Naveen Kumar Parida, dealt with struggles of human life and how every human goes through them with the hope of a better tomorrow.
The second evening saw the play ‘Mo Jeebana Pachhe Narke Padithau’ by the artistes of Pranati Kalamandir theatre group from Puri. The play was directed by Ganeshwar Mahapatra.
Kala Vikash Kendra from Mangalpur in Jajpur district staged the play ‘Nashta Shaishaba’ directed by Kartik Jena on the concluding evening.
