Bhubaneswar: The weeklong Bali yatra festival, which draws lakhs of visitors from across the state, will begin in Cuttack tomorrow.

The district administration, in collaboration with district council of culture, Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) and Orissa Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), is leaving no stone unturned to make the mega event a grand success.

Around 1500 stalls and kiosks which will sell handicraft products and household articles, have been set up for the weeklong fair. Visitors can also go for a quick bite at the food stalls.

The biggest attraction this year will be Patha Utsav which will showcase new kinds of events like cycling, dance, and musical programmes with hosts like Bollywood celebs Daler Mehndi, Sona Mohapatra and KK.

The national-level Pallishree mela, hosted by the Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society, is also expected to be a major attraction during the fair.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy taking boat rides in 3 newly built ponds inside the Bali Yatra ground.

Adequate security arrangements have been made for the safety of the visitors during the festival.

Apart from keeping vigil from watch-towers, close-circuit cameras have been installed to monitor activities during the fair.
