Bhubaneswar: The Sun Temple will reverberate with rhythms of Indian classical music as the Konark Festival is set to begin from December 1.
Several acclaimed artistes from across India will perform on Indian classical dance forms including Odissi, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi and Mohiniattam against the backdrop of the 700-year-old temple at the five-day festival. Besides, a troupe from Indonesia will also perform Balinese Dance.
The festival has been attracting foreigners as well as national tourists over years.
The international sand art festival on the Chandrabhaga beach will be hosted simultaneously along with the Konark Festival. 16 national and six international sand artists from USA, Ireland, Denmark, Russia, Canada and South Africa will take part.
