Bhubaneswar: This year, the theme for TEDxXIMB 6.0 is ‘The Sisyphean Wheel: Unwinding Happiness’. It refers to the ordeal of the Greek character Sisyphus, punished to roll a gigantic boulder up a steep mountain, only to see it rolling down in a never-ending vicious cycle. While the task seems physically demanding, but the true intention of the gods was to break his fiery spirit. The plight of Sisyphus can be likened to our mundane, repetitive lives. However, we might just derive happiness from this never-ending loop. Only by acknowledging our struggle, and consciously choosing not to avoid the everyday monotony, can we be truly happy. To get a holistic view of the theme, several speakers from diverse backgrounds have been invited to share their thought-provoking interpretations and perspectives on the theme. Our heartfelt gratitude to our event partner Eventis by Rohit Mathur for his support in organizing the said event.
There are several reputed speakers coming to the event. Mohan Kannan, lead vocalist of Agnee and also an alumnus of XIMB, is an individual who made his passion his fulltime career. Both a musician and a storyteller, his music is said to constitute the essence of his soul.
