A sand sculpture by renowned sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik at Golden beach Puri, to spread a message – ‘Let’s Play Our Role and Do Not Panic For COVID-19’.

As per the latest information on the virus outbreak, hands are the front lines in the war against COVID-19. Our hands act like sticky traps for viruses to enter our bodies. We all have a role to play to protect ourselves and our communities. The sand art depicts awareness of proper hand hygiene practice and its role in reducing the spread of Covid-19 as well as many other infectious diseases like the flu and common cold.

The sand sculpture was to encourage people cleaning their hands with soap or alcohol-based hand rub on a regular basis. Do not panic, let’s wash the coronavirus down the drain.
