Bhubaneswar: Giving tribute to the corona warriors, the Indian Armed Forces honoured the State Capital’s medical professionals as the superheroes and showered them with flower petals from the sky.
In Bhubaneswar, the chopper flew over the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) and dropped petals to pay tribute to healthcare teams fighting Covid-19 pandemic. The KIMS authority acknowledged the show of solidarity by the IAF, and because of this, may the willpower of all Doctors, Nurses and Paramedical Staff along with other COVID warriors will be strengthened so as to continue the fight against the novel coronavirus. The Covid-19 warriors were seen assembled outside the state-run COVID-19 hospitals putting hands on their chest to show respect to the efforts of the Armed Forces, while others were clapping, taking videos and photos from their mobile phones. This was the third major display of gratitude to COVID-19 warriors across the country. Previously people across the nation had also responded to the Prime Minister’s call to support the Covid-19 warriors by clapping, ringing bells and beating utensils from their balconies, and later by switching off their lights and lighting candles and diyas.
Similar scenes were observed across the nation. Expressing the gratitude of the Defence forces, the IAF helicopter showered flower petals over the state-run hospitals across India. It was part of the nationwide thanksgiving effort by the armed forces to honour doctors, paramedics, sanitation staff, police and other front-line workers battling coronavirus in the country.
