Petrol and Diesel price hiked in Bhubaneswar. Today, the price of petrol in the capital of Odisha recorded 81.03 INR per litre, and price of diesel recorded 80.03 INR per litre. It is here to note that the increase in price has been recorded post 6 days of steadiness. However, fuel price has been concerned across the nation during a lockdown.

Odisha witnesses record daily spike with 1602 New COVID-19 Cases

The growing trend of COVID-19 cases in Odisha continues in August and has recorded 1602 new cases in the past 24 hours. According to information got from I&PR department, the highest 308 cases were reported in Ganjam district. Khurda with 285 new cases, Raygada 164 cases, Gajapati 108 cases, and Cuttack with 54 cases follow Ganjam   

Two Doctors part of 8 Arrested for Attack on Cops & Journalist in Odisha

Kendrapara: At least 8 people who included two doctors were arrested on Saturday being charged with attacking on-duty cops and journalists in Kendrapara district. Reportedly, both the doctors working for a private nursing home attacked two police officials, as both were there to enquire about the claimed attack on a journalist.  

Online Portal to Issue Fire Safety Certificates Launched In Odisha

No more visiting offices and requesting officials is the only way for obtaining fire safety. CM Naveen Patnaik Odisha launched Agni-Shama Seva online portal on Friday. Through the portal, one can obtain fire safety certificates for different types of buildings over the web.

NGT directs Odisha Government to stop sand mining in Subarnarekha River

According to reports, National Green Tribunal has direct the Odisha government to put breaks on sand mining in the Subarnarekha River along Jaleswar Tehsil. This direction reportedly came to post the joint committee formed by the Tribunal to investigate the claims of declining environmental standards in the concerned area due to illegal sand mining.    

Gynecology department OT of Puri DHH Sealed after Doctor and Nurse Test Positive for COVID-19

Operation Theatre (OT) of the Gynaecology department of the District Headquarters Hospital in Puri was locked as a doctor, and a nurse found positive for the novel COVID-19 test. Soon medical authorities locked the concerned OT of the Gynaecology Department after the reports were out. Patients sitting outside claim that the hospital has not been sanitized after 24 hours.

More than 10 Quintals of Ganja Seized from onion-laden truck In Odisha’s Gajapati

More than 10 quintals of Ganja has been seized from an onion-laden truck by Gajapati police while patrolling between Chandiput and Luhagudi, yesterday. Team of Gajapati police conducting the operation has arrested tow, namely Nikhil Kumar and Anurag Kumar of Rourkela. The 14-wheeler truck carrying Ganja has the registration number OR-14W-7277.
