Daily Round-Up: A Blast of LPG Cylinder in Kendrapada Injures Three People


In an LPG cylinder blast at Kendrapada, three people are injured. The victims include a man, his minor daughter, and his wife. Due to the cylinder blast, there thatched house Dhumat village Kantaniasahi, which come under the Nikirai police station of Kendrapada District, caught fire. Rs 50,000, along with properties, were burnt.

Another COVID Hospital to Open in Cuttack

By next week, one more dedicated COVID hospital will start functioning in the district of Cuttack. Due to the rise in the COVID-19 positive cases, Cuttack acquires the third position district wise. In order to tackle the situation, Collector Bhabani Shankar Chainy plans to establish a new COVID treatment hospital in Cuttack.

Admin of Jagatsinghpur eases the Guidelines of COVID-19

Owing to the continuous pressure from shopkeepers, traders, and the general public of Jagatsinghpur, the administration of JSpur modifies the preventive guidelines. The restrictions on the time limit of opening the shops were lowered. According to the new guidelines, all the shops can remain open from 7 am to 4 pm. The shops should, however, maintain all the personal hygiene measures strictly.

11 ITIs in the State feature in the top 100 list of India

11 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of Odisha, including four private and seven government ITIs, find a place in the top 100 list of India. The four private ITIs include Dalmia Industrial Training Institute, Industrial Training Centre, Charampa, Almighty Technical Institute, and Sriguru Industrial Training Centre and Industrial Training Centre. The Government ITIs include Industrial Training Institutes of Jharsuguda, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Brahmapur, Jajpur, Hinjlicut, and Takatpur.

Total COVID-19 Cases of Bhubaneswar rises to 3,763

Shutdown in Kamakyanagar for 3 Days

In an attempt to keep in check the spreading of COVID-19, the district administration of Kamakhyanagar, Dhenkanal, orders a shutdown from August 10 to August 12. However, during the shutdown, the essential services like medical establishments, petrol pumps, electricity supply, water supply, telecom services, milk booths, and more will be permitted to function.
