Puri’s Jagannath temple will soon come up with a new look as the administration has decided to coat around six gates of the sacred shrine with silver color. As per the report, Kalahata, Jaya-Vijay gate, and Beharrana gate will gate a new look. Besides, a devotee is also offering around 1920kg of silver for this work.
Second Phase of Sero Surveillance from Today in Bhubaneswar
As the COVID-19 positive cases rising in the capital city Bhubaneswar, govt has advised the concerned authority to carry out the second sero survey in Bhubaneswar starting from Today. As per the report, five teams will cover 25 wards in two days and will collect 1500 samples. In the first round, 900 samples were collected.
Decision Regarding Exams Will Be Taken After Reopening of Schools
Samir Ranjan Dash, Mass Education Minister of the state, has informed that the decision about exams will be taken only after the reopening of the schools. CM Naveen Patnaik has already informed that all the schools will remain shut till the Puja holiday. Minister said that it would be better to make a decision after conducting a few classes.
CM Inaugurates 6th Plasma Bank in Koraput
On Thursday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a new plasma bank in Koraput’s SLN Medical College and Hospital. He inaugurated through video conferencing. It is the sixth plasma bank in the state. As per the report, around 400 COVID-19 patients have been given plasma treatment, and till now, the results are good.

From August 30 Jharsuguda To Go Under 7-Day Shutdown
After the detection of 180 COVID-19 positive cases in just seven days, the district administration has decided to impose a 7-day shutdown in Jharsuguda’s industrial town. This would help the authorities to lower the infection rate. As per the report, only essential shops and services will be allowed to remain open during the shutdown.
STF Seizes Rs. 80 Lakh of Brown Sugar in Balasore
The Crime Branch’s Special Task Force (STF) has seized brown sugar worth Rs. 80 lakh and weight of the seized brown sugar is around 800 grams.
