As per the statements of special relief commissioner PK Jena, Over 14 lakh people have been affected in more than 3000 villages. A total of 14, 32,701 from 3,256 villages of 896-gram panchayats have been affected by the swelling of Mahanadi River.

Balangir: A Raped Girl Commits Suicide

Earlier today, a college girl of Muribahal in Balangir district commits suicide. As per the reports, the girl ended her life after being raped by a teacher. The incidence took place on the pretext of the marriage. After which the girl has committed suicide. Reportedly, the accused also posted obscene videos and photos of the girl who went viral.

Court Restrains Defamatory Contents against State Progressive Women’s Forum Chairperson

The civil judge has restrained the web channels and publications from publishing any defamatory article against social activist Mamata Samantaray. Earlier, the chairperson and her family stated to the court that the aforesaid web channels published some news with the motive of harassment. The news had no evidence. To which the court has restrained the opposite party from publishing such contents.
