13 Arrested in Utkal University Student Attack Case

Based on the new guidelines, Utkal University has decided to conduct postgraduate and undergraduate’s final semester exams in online and offline modes, respectively. This has been informed by Sharat Kumar Majhi, Controller of Examination Utkal University. As per the report, around 50 170 students from 2755 degree colleges will appear for undergraduate exams.

Indian Oil Will Invest Rs. 1268 Crore in Paradip Refinery’s Needle Coker Unit

The proposal to establish a grassroots needle coker unit at Odisha’s Paradip Refinery by the Indian Oil has obtained the stage – 1 approval. For this, Indian Oil will invest Rs. 1268 crore. The unit will be set up utilizing Indian Oil’s technology and will get a CNG- Calcined Needle Coke production capacity of around 56 KTPA.

Rourkela Steel Plant Witnesses Its Maximum Production

RSP- Rourkela Steel Plant of SAIL has witnessed a record monthly production in metal in August as the plant has managed to produce 3,33,840 tonne of hot metal. On the other hand, the monthly dispatch of prime material at around 54, 183 tones in the month of August was also the highest mark.

Public Entry Prohibited At 3 Government Office in Cuttack

After some staff from CMC-Cuttack Municipal Corporation tested COVID-19 positive, the authority of CMC has clamped a restriction, prohibiting the public from entering into the office building of Bikash Bhavan and Biju Bhavan. The new rule will remain in force for 15 days starting from today. Only staff and officers will be allowed to enter the building.

State Govt Appoints Two IAS Officers to Fight COVID-19 in Khordha

To deal with the rising number of COVID-19 positive cases in Khordha district, the State Government has appointed two IAS who was earlier managing Ganjam’s COVID-19 situation. As per the report, Parul Patawari, 2015 batch IAS Officer appointed as Special Additional District Magistrate, Bhubaneswar. 2016 batch IAS officer Vishal Singh was appointed as ADM, Khordha.
