Odisha Police to Enforce Covid-19 Guidelines in Twin City


Bhubaneswar: Earlier today, Odisha Police DG Abhay conducted a meeting with the commissioner of twin city police. In the meeting, the police DG has asked the twin city police to enforce the Covid-19 guidelines in the twin city. The DCP of the twin city will look after each zone to make sure people are following all the guidelines.

Minor Sons Beat their Mother to Death!

Bhubaneswar: A bizarre incident took place earlier today. As per the reports, two minor sons beat their mother ruthlessly, which resulted in the death of the mother. The incident took place in Sunderpada, under the limits of airfield police. Reportedly, the deceased was identified as Binodini Mishra (45). The two of her sons were aged about 12 years and 15 years.

A Milestone in Conducting Plasma Therapy! Odisha Achieves 1000 Plasma Therapies

Odisha has set a new record by conducting 1000 Plasma therapies to treat Serious Covid-19 patients. This Thursday, the state health and family welfare department in a tweet said that Odisha has achieved this milestone and sets a new record. In the tweet, the department also clarified that the therapy has been available to any patient in need. Patients can avail of plasma therapy both in government and private hospitals.

A Team from the Center to Visit the Flood-affected Areas of Jajpur and Puri Districts

As per the reports, a six-member team from the center would be visiting the flood-affected areas of Puri and Jajpur districts. The team will visit these districts for a spot assessment of the damage caused due to floods. After making a damage assessment, the team will then return back to Bhubaneswar to hold a meeting with the chief secretary Asit Tripathy. 

4,241 New Covid-19 Cases Detected in Odisha 

Bhubaneswar: 4,241 new Covid-19 positive cases have been detected in Odisha today. The information and public relationship department Odisha in a tweet, reported the number of new cases in Odisha. Out of the new cases, 2,502 are from the quarantine center, and 1739 are the local contact cases. On the other hand, Khordha registers the highest number of cases with 647 new entries.

Thirteen more COVID Deaths in Odisha! The Death Toll Climbs to 669

Bhubaneswar: Thirteen more Covid-19 death cases have been reported in Odisha today! The health and family welfare department inform in a series of tweets that thirteen more COVID losses were reported in the last 24 hours. This takes the death toll of the state to 669. Coming to district wise report, four deaths were reported from Puri, two from Gajapati, and one case each from Cuttack, Khordha, Balasore, and Subarnapur districts. Two deaths were also reported from the capital Bhubaneswar.

Newborn Baby’s Head spotted near a Nursing Home in Angul

Angul: As per the reports, a newborn baby’s severed head was found lying near the Mishrapada Chakk, under Angul police station. Reportedly, the incident has caused an uproar among the people in Angul. And the locals are demanding strict actions against the person who did this. The police have started an inquiry to find out the guilty.
