The low pressure across the Bay of Bengal has caused extreme rainfall in several districts of Odisha. The state on Monday has received heavy rainfall. In fact, the rainfall has also left the south-west monsoon active. As per the reports, Sonepur- a district in Odisha, received the highest amount of rainfall. That is 140 MM between Sunday and Monday morning.

The implementation of these Norms led to the collection of INR 1.58L in Ganjam. In addition, five shops were sealed for violating Covid-19 rules. Havildar’s daughter in law death case has taken an interesting development. As per the reports, the Tomando police this Monday arrested the husband of the deceased woman. This step was taken based on a complaint lodged by the father of the deceased. The accused has been identified as Jaminikant Gochayat, son of Bijay Gochayat.
+2 Admissions begin Amidst Covid-19 Threat in Odisha
Admissions for +2 courses begin in the Government colleges. Amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, the state government has started the admission to +2 courses. The government has stated that all the admission centers and colleges will follow all the Covid-19 Norms. Reportedly around 190 students turned up for the admissions on the first day at Gangadhar Meher Junior College.
Odisha State Open University starts PG Examination Online!
Following the directives of the Department of Higher education, the Odisha State Open University commences the final year Post Graduate examination online. As per the reports, 1,640 students registered in various PG programs offered by the Open University. All the students have appeared the online examination from which 1,225 were from Rural Area, and 24 were specially-abled.

Drugs raid continues in Odisha as Bhadrak Police seized 25 grams of Brown sugar from the Puruna Bazaar area. As per the reports, this Brown sugar was being smuggled to several parts of the state.
