While trying to kill wildlife, forest officials have arrested six poachers inside Similipal National Park located in Mayurbhanj district. Besides, they have also seized five trap nets, sharp weapons, and four crude guns and other hunting tools. After the arrest, all the poachers have booked under relevant sections of the Wildlife Protection Act.

Postpone E-Auction of Coal Block: Odisha Urges Centre

Keeping in mind the current market condition caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the state government has urged the Centre for the postpone of E-auction of coal blocks. The government has taken such steps after observing the incidents of family members abstaining from attending funerals of those testing COVDI -19 positive after death.

PM SVANidhi: Rs. 8.2 crore of Loans Granted To Odisha’s Street Vendors

The Central government has sanctioned Rs. 8.2 crore loans to the state street vendors. They can get collateral-free loans under the PM SVANidhi Yojana. Dede. Four More Gates of Hirakud Dam Opened

After heavy rainfall in the Mahanadi’s upper catchment, the authorities of Hirakud Dam have opened four more gates for floodwater release. As per the fresh report, the optimum water level of the dam is 630 feet, but by 9 am on Wednesday, that water level was 629.08 feet. The water outflow was 1,70,251 cusecs.

OJEE Online Applications Deadline Extended

OJEE- Odisha Joint Entrance Examination committee has extended the online application submission deadline for the current year OJEE, which will be held between 12th October to 19th October. Applicants can now submit their applications till the midnight of 23rd September. The online fee payment deadline is till 24th September 11 AM. DRDO Successfully Conducts ABHYAS’s Flight Test

DRDO- Defence, Research and Development Organization, has successfully conducted a flight test HEAT- High-Speed Expandable Aerial Target ABHYAS from Balasore’s Interim Test Range. ADE- Aeronautical Development Establishment has developed ABHYAS. As per the report, two demonstrator vehicles were successfully tested. The vehicle was launched utilizing a twin underslung booster. This is developed for a fully autonomous flight.
