From Ticket Booking To Boarding - Special Train during COVID-19

Following the Unlock process, the Ministry of Railways has decided to begin two more trains from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi. These two trains are Bhubaneswar- New Delhi Weekly Duronto that will cover Balasore and Adra, and Bhubaneswar-Anand Vihar Weekly, covering Rourkela, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur City. The trains will run on 17th and 21st October.

SLSWCA Clears Investments Worth Rs. 1852

The SLSWCA- State Level Single Window Clearance Authority has approved at least five new industrial projects worth Rs. 1851.96. This is for the metal and cement sectors in the state. As per the report, the investment will offer employment opportunities for around 1624 persons. The meeting was chaired by Asit Tripathy, Chief Secretary.

State Govt to Offer 3 Months Advance Pension to Artists

As per a new report Odia Language, Literature and Cultural Department has decided to offer a pension of Rs. 1200 very month for three months in advance to around 34, 653 artists working under Mukhyamantri Kalakar Sahayata Yojana. For this, the state government will disburse Rs. 12, 47,50,800. The step is taken to help the artists during this COVID situation.

1120 Medicine Stores Get Permission to Sell Favipiravir Tabs

After allowing 820 more medicine stores to sell Favipiravir tablets (antiviral drug), the total number of medicine stores to sell the tablets has gone up to 1120. Earlier, the state Directorate of Drug Control had allowed 300 chemist stores to sell the drug. This tablet can be sued by home quarantined patients.

Four Person Arrested for Stealing Electric Conductors

Police have arrested four persons who are involved in stealing the aluminium electric conductors. Besides, the police also have seized six GI poles of 10 quintals, one mini truck, oxygen cylinders, cooking gas and 1.48mm aluminium electric wire weighing seven quintals. They were arrested after a complaint filed by Gupta Power Infrastructure Ltd’ Site Engineer, Rudra Prasad Samal.

State’s COVID-19 Recoveries Crosses 2.2 Lakh Mark

On Saturday, the total number of COVID1-19 recoveries crossed 220388 as at least 3404 COVID-19 patients recovered. As per the report, Khordha district reported a maximum of 602 recoveries. On the other hand, 374 and 289 recoveries were reported from Cuttack and Puri, respectively. The recovery cases in the state are gradually improving.

Rudram, Anti-Radiation Missile Tested Successfully

Today, India has successfully test-fired the NGARM- New Generation Anti-Radiation Missile, Rudram-1 in Odisha coast. It was test-fired from Sukhoi-30 MK1 fighter aircraft at Chandipur’s Integrated Test Range. It successfully hit the radiation target on Wheeler Island. The missile is developed by the DRDO- Defence Research and Development Organization.
