Odisha CM has urged India’s Prime Minister through writing a letter to provide houses to the families that were affected due to cyclone Fani. CM Patnaik has urged about providing houses as per Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojana (PMAY). Moreover, CM has cited in the letter about identifying 7.87 lakh houses that are properly geo-tagged and verified with Aadhaar as well in Fani affected districts.

COVID-19 Positive Tally Reaches 3,24,796 in the Past 24 Hours, with More 407 Positive Cases being Found

Odisha has witnessed 407 more COVID positive cases in the last 24 hours. This makes the total tally reaching 3,24,796. This information has been obtained through the State Health Department. Among the frontrunners, 60 positive cases have been found in Angul, 62 in Sundargarh, 25 in Cuttack, 26 in Sambalpur, and 46 in Khurda.

A total number of deaths in Odisha due to COVID-19 has reached 1820. Reportedly, 5 more people have succumbed to death in the past 24 hours. This includes a 57 years female from Angul, 65 years male from Balasore (with hypertension), 44 years old from Bolangir, 72 years old from Cuttack, and a 65 years man Sundargarh (with hypertension).
