Fit India Cyclothon held in the Capital City

On Sunday, over three hundred cyclists participated in the Fit India Cyclothon campaign in this winter chill of the year-end, organized by the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. The event, which was flagged off from near Sishu Bhawan Square, culminated at the Sikharchandi Hills, covering 12.1 km. 

MP Raghunath takes the Accountability of Stock of Temple Renovation

Rajya Sabha member Raghunath Mohapatra and District Planning Board Chairman and Bhograi MLA Ananta Das visited prominent Bhusundeswar Shiva temple on Friday. They took stock of the works carried out for the renovation of the temple on the bank of the river Subarnarekha. 

The Train ran over a Girl in Jharsuguda

A freight train ran over a girl and a young man On Sunday in Jharsuguda on the spot. Killing the former on the site and injuring the young man critically at the Bagdehi railway station. The deceased was identified as Sophia Mahanand, and the injured Roshan Mahanand was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

BJP MP Fined for Disregarding Traffic Rules

BJD member N Bhaskar Rao was fined for disregarding and breaching traffic rules during a program on the 24th foundation day of the BJD on Saturday. Police fined him Rs 500 for not wearing a helmet during a motorcycle rally in that event.

A Youth Died in a Road Mishap

A youth of Chandpur under Jagatsinghpur block was killed in a road mishap at Charpolia on the NH-55 on Saturday while returning home from Jagatsinghpur town unknown vehicle hit his bike. A police vehicle took him to the District Headquarters Hospital. A doctor declared him brought dead.

A Woman Burnt to Death in Jajpur

In Jajpur district on Saturday, a 36-year-old woman was burnt to death while she was sleeping in her house at Srirampur village that comes under the Mangalpur police limits night. The deceased was recognized as Madhusmita Nayak. Neighbours spotted the thatched cottage burning at around 2 am.

Ganjam Youth Teaching the Rural Kids Computers

Rural youth from the local area was providing free computer education to children. The youth, identified, Saroj Naidu of Makarjhol village in Ganjam district. He came with an innovative idea to impart computer education to poor children of the locality amid the Covid-19 pandemic to spread computer literacy.
