Staff Salaries Withheld for Violating COVID-19 Guidelines

The district education officer on Friday withheld the salaries of the headmaster and all the  teaching and non-teaching staff of five schools for violating the standard operating procedures of COVID-19 imposed by the State School and Education department. As per the sources, the salary for the month of January is being withheld by the officer.

Containment Zone Declared in Athagarh Block in Cuttack

Khanduali village under Athagarh block Athagarh block is declared as a containment zone by the district administration after sixteen positive cases of COVID-19 were detected in the village. The containment order came into effect from Saturday, and the restrictions will remain for one week. 

Kelua River Embankment Damage in Jajpur: Vigilance Probe Ordered

The Odisha Lokayukta has ordered a vigilance probe into the breach of a barrier of Kelua River in Rampur area of the Jajpur district that comes under the Dharmasala block, which was allegedly blown off by using dynamites during the time of the flood in August last year. As per the sources, the Lokayukta has asked the vigilance to submit the report within two months.

Multiple Recruitment Notification Issued by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan

Mild Earthquake in Odisha
