The Dhabaleswar Temple in Cuttack reopened the doors for all devotees today after a long gap due to COVID-19 restrictions. The shrine was opened first for the servitors’ family members on January 8. People from the nearest gram panchayat were allowed to enter on January 9 and 10.

House Catches Fire in Jharsuguda

On Sunday, four members of a family suffered severe burn injuries after the house caught fire at night. The mishap occurred at Hari Om Vihar under Brajarajnagar Block of Jharsuguda district. The injured have been admitted to Ispat General Hospital, Rourkela in critical condition.

Free Cataract Surgeries in Sambalpur

The Sambalpur administration has targeted over 7500 cataract surgeries across the nine blocks in the next year under the “Cataract Free Sambalpur” initiative.
