In Baripada, the North Orissa University (NOU) of Mayurbhanj district will now be known as Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University. This institution has been renamed after the erstwhile king of the princely state of Mayurbhanj on Wednesday. CM Naveen Patnaik announced this. As per sources, the varsity was established on July 13, 1998.

Three Hundred Sixty-four New Cases of COVID-19 and Three Deaths in Odisha
In Odisha, 364 new positive cases of COVID-19 were detected till midnight of December 22, as per the Information & Public Relations Department report on Wednesday. As per sources, 210 are from quarantine, and 154 are from local contacts. With this count, the number of positive cases in Odisha stands at 3,27,279.
