Ujaleswar is situated in Ganjam district at a distance of about 45 kms from Berhampur and 19 kms from Digapahandi. The Ujaleswar shrine is an unique monument having rare features. It is developed from a cave temple situated on the top of a hillock. The shrine is approachable by steps. A massive stone is placed behind the deity which forms the back side of the temple. One the way to this temple one would come across the beautiful scenic surrounding of the Ghodahada Dam. A fort named Vizayanagar and its temple has submerged inside this dam. The reservoir has become habitat for a heard of elephants, crocodiles and pythons. A deer park, pond with lotus flowers and an age old banyan tree are worth seeing in this place.
