This place is of significant importance because of the sleeping image of Lord Vishnu, which is the second largest image (in size) in India. It is situated at Bhimakand village on the right of river Brahmani, 50 km from Angul. The image sleeps on its right side. The image is about 42′ (126.5 cm) long & 8′ wide. It is a matter of pride that this is the largest sleeping image in India.
