Situated at a distance of about 3 kms from Buguda town in Ganjam, Buddhakhol, is known for a cluster of five temples on the top of a hill, popularly known as ‘Panchu Mahadeva’. As the name of the temple suggests, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temples are decorated with beautiful sculptures.

It is seen that from the upper most part of the hill, a stream flows downward forming a waterfall. It is believed that the that snakes come to this place and take the milk that is offered to Lord Shiva.

Here, one can see Buddhist remains, which gives an impression that the place was an ancient Buddhist settlement. Apart from the temples one can also find a large number of caves. One of the cave is called ‘Siddha Gumpha’. It is said that the cave was the meditation point of Buddhist monks in old days.

The scenic beauty of this place attracts a large number of tourists and picnickers every year.
