Baisipalli sanctuary

Baisipalli Wildlife Sanctuary,is located at a distance of 60 km from the district headquarter town of Nayagarh. It borders the river Mahanadi adjacent to Satkosia George and is positioned on the Eastern Ghats. The panoramic view of the Satkosia gorge along with the forests creates a majestic view. The place is rich in flora and fauna.

The sanctuary houses a considerable number of elephants and tigers. Rare birds like Horn bills, Fishing eagles, Crested serpent eagles, Racket-tailed Drongo, Rare flying squirrels, Malabar gaint squirrels, reptiles like Star tortoise, King cobra, Rock python, Monitor lizard, Gharial and Mugar crocodile can be seen here. Apart from this, one can also see Sambar and Mouse deer at this place.
