Rajhans Island is situated on the Chilika lake. It is a small island and is named after the beautiful bird ‘Rajhans’. This island is on the confluence of Chilika lake and Bay of Bengal. It is covered with forests and mountains. It has a beautiful sandy beach which appears lined due to the casuarina trees as dotted due to crabs, from a distance. It is one of the few unspoiled island for birds, dolphins, crabs and other sea creatures. One who visit this island cannot remain untouched from its scenic beauty. To visit this island you have to cross the Chilika lake on boat from Satapada. Rajhans Island is at a distance of 18 kms from Satapada. The nearest rail head to Satapada is Puri Railway Station (50 km).
