Laundry Attendant

Description

Key Responsibilities: 1. Laundry Operations: Assist in sorting, loading, and unloading laundry machines. Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment according to established guidelines. Follow laundry procedures to ensure the proper washing, drying, folding, and ironing of textiles. Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues. 2. Quality Control: Maintain cleanliness and quality standards for all laundered items. Fold, stack, and store clean linens properly to prevent contamination. Assist in inspecting laundered items for defects and addressing any issues. 3. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and managing laundry supplies, including detergents, chemicals, and other necessary items. Report low inventory levels and assist with replenishing supplies. 4. Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor. 5. Customer Service: Work closely with the laundry team to ensure timely delivery of clean linens to the hotel's housekeeping department. Assist in responding to guest requests for laundry services and address any guest concerns or complaints. 6. Assistance to the Supervisor: Support the Laundry Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager in various tasks, such as inventory tracking, equipment maintenance, and reporting.
