About Us

Odisha360 is a comprehensive online information portal about the state of Odisha, India. Launched in 2011 with a mission to showcase Odisha’s rich culture and knowledge to the world, the site was envisioned as a “high-end platform to disseminate Odia literature and glorious Odishan culture globally”. Over the years, Odisha360 grew into one of the most popular online magazines in the state, publishing apolitical news, feature stories, and special articles about Odisha, alongside a rich database of information on Odisha's people and places.

The founding team even aimed to build a “comprehensive online encyclopaedia with holistic information about Odisha,” encouraging community contributions to cover diverse topics.

Today, Odisha360 continues that spirit of knowledge-sharing as a Batoi multi-modal publication brand (part of Batoi Press). As a Batoi service, Odisha360 utilizes Batoi’s robust digital platform, ensuring a seamless and modern user experience, and adheres to Batoi’s branding guidelines in design and presentation.

Our content is offered in both English and Odia, catering to a global audience as well as local readers. On Odisha360, you’ll find;

  • In-depth articles on Odisha’s culture, heritage, tourism, business, and lifestyle
  • Directories of startups and information about events across the state
  • We pride ourselves on providing “Holistic information about Odisha and its people"

Our focus is on curated content – travel guides, historical features, interviews, startup spotlights, festival explainers, and more – that remains relevant and valuable over time.

Odisha360 is Owned and Managed by Batoi

A company dedicated to digital empowerment and content innovation. (The development of Odisha360 is closely aligned with Batoi’s vision; our CEO, Dr. Ashwini K. Rath, created Odisha360 to marry technology with Odisha’s culture.) The result is a portal that not only informs but also connects the Odia community worldwide. We have a small editorial team and a network of contributors/subject matter experts, but notably no in-house journalists for news reporting – reflecting our move away from daily news coverage toward expert-driven content and community contributions.

Our platform also integrates interactive features via Batoi Hub – readers can register for free to discuss articles, bookmark content, and even contribute posts in the future as we develop community features.

Odisha360’s evolution is ongoing, and we remain committed to our core goal: to be the go-to hub for all things Odisha, from travel and culture to business and innovation, in a way that educates, inspires, and fosters collaboration.
