Roads and railways link the city efficiently, and multiple transport services operate to and from various destinations. Brahmapur lies approximately 170 km from the capital city, Bhubaneswar.
Several major highways, including NH-16 and NH-516, link Brahmapur. State Highways 17 and 22 also connect the city. These roads provide access to almost all major towns and cities in Odisha. The city has well-established public transportation and communication facilities. The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) operates the city bus service, connecting Brahmapur with nearby urban centers. Within the city, the popular Ama Bus initiative serves the city by providing affordable and frequent urban transport, with both AC and non-AC options available.
Many private and government-run bus services are also available for both intra-city and intercity travel. Daily commuters and tourists use app-based services like Ola and private taxis for convenience. Several travel agencies in the city offer custom transportation services for visitors.
Apart from that, a domestic airport, Rangeilunda Airport, and a helipad are located in Berhampur. However, airlines do not currently use them for commercial flights.
