Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) operates its largest phosphatic fertiliser complex at Paradeep, located in the Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha. Acquired in 2005, this unit is a critical hub for India's self-reliance in agricultural nutrients. Core Operations & Production Capacity. The Paradeep unit is an integrated "Phosphatic Fertiliser Complex" and is recognized as the world's largest grassroots DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) plant. DAP/NPK Fertilisers: Annual production capacity of approximately 19.2 lakh metric tonnes. Phosphoric Acid: Features the world's largest single-reactor plant with a capacity of 8.75 lakh MTPA. Sulphuric Acid: Houses two streams with a combined annual capacity of 23.1 lakh metric tonnes. Bio-Fertilisers: Includes a dedicated facility with a capacity of 1 lakh litres per annum. Infrastructure & Strategic Advantages: Captive Power Plant: Equipped with a 2x55 MW power plant to ensure uninterrupted operations. Logistics: Strategically located at the deepest natural port on India's east coast, allowing for year-round entry of large ships for raw material import. Connectivity: Very well connected via NH-53 and SH-12, with a nearby railway station just 0.49 km away.
