Institute of Health Sciences, a pioneer institute in the state of Odisha, is a unit of Margdarsi, a non- government, non-profit charitable society that was established in 1999 by a group of benevolent people. IHS offers Allied Health Science Courses and is dedicated to the welfare of the persons with disability, rehabilitation services and education in health sciences in Odisha. It has the distinction of creating comprehensive treatment facility for those having all kinds of communication disorders, Institute of Health Sciences is providing unique degree courses of rehabilitation sciences viz. " Bachelor in Physiotherapy" (BPT) and "Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology "(BASLP) and Master in Rehabilitation Sciences in the state of Odisha. The courses are recognised by Government of Odisha, affiliated to Utkal University and approved by Rehabilitation Council of India , New Delhi. Within the first decade of its existence, IHS had earned many recognitions and appreciations for incredible performance, dedication towards the profession and the society. To create a top-notch health care system that delivers physical, mental and spiritual health needs to all socio-economic strata, locally, nationally and globally.
