As a social enterprise, Livelihood Alternatives is committed to empowering rural communities by offering livelihood options that are Suitable, Scalable, and Sustainable. LA’s vision is ambitious yet grounded in achievable targets: by 2026, it strives to positi vely impact 3,00,000 households across Odisha, aligning with its mission to build resilience and foster inclusive growth. The organization adheres to the “6Cs” principles—Collectivization, Capacity-Building, Collaboration, Convergence, Commercialization, and Community Outreach—to reach this goal. Livelihood is paramount in middle-income countries like India as it directly influences economic stability, social well-being, and overall development. Livelihoods serve as the bedrock of economic, social, and environmental progress in middle-income countries, shaping the path toward sustainable development and a better quality of life.
