About

Rajhans Nature Camp is a unique eco-tourism retreat situated on a narrow strip of land that acts as a natural barrier between the brackish Chilika Lake and the salt waters of the Bay of Bengal. Confluence View: The camp's most striking feature is its location on a thin peninsula where visitors can see Chilika Lake on one side and the sea on the other. Dolphin Spotting: The boat journey from Satapada to the camp often features sightings of the rare Irrawaddy dolphins. Bird Watching: During the winter (November to February), the area becomes a haven for thousands of migratory birds. Pristine Beach: The camp provides access to an untouched, quiet beach lined with casuarina trees, ideal for peaceful walks and viewing "magical" sunrises and sunsets. Island Life: Visitors can interact with traditional local fishing communities and enjoy freshly cooked local seafood. Lodging: Features approximately 8 to 10 eco-friendly AC suite tents (Swiss Cottages) that face the lake. Capacity: The camp can accommodate a maximum of about 20 people at a time, ensuring a secluded experience. Inclusions: Stays typically include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The tariff often covers the boat transfer from Satapada and guided dolphin watching. Restrictions: To protect the delicate ecosystem, plastic is strictly banned, and loud music or parties are not allowed.
