Lamtaput ICH Festival

The Lamtaput festival will highlight the distinct cultural expressions of the Gadaba community, known for their traditional Kerang weaving and powerful group dance traditions called Dhemsa, along with performances and craft demonstrations by Paraja, Kandha, and Durua artists. Renowned Kerang weavers will showcase their rare technique of extracting fibre from the Kerang tree bark to produce hand-spun textiles, while artisans specialising in basketry, pottery, woodcraft and Kotpad handloom will also be present showcasing creative legacy of Koraput. Visitors will have the choice to explore iconic sites such as the Machkund River, the magnificent Duduma Waterfall, and the vibrant Onkadelli Haat (it happens on Thursday only), offering a holistic blend of cultural and nature-based experiences.
