National Workshop on Diffusion Chronometry and its Application in Planetary and Terrestrial Systems

This national workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals and applications of diffusion chronometry, a powerful tool for determining the timescales of geological and planetary processes. Aimed at planetary scientists, petrologists, and geochemists, the course will explore how diffusion profiles in minerals can be used to constrain cooling and exhumation rates, magmatic residence times, metamorphic duration, and the thermal evolution of meteorite parent bodies.
