Nyaya Udghosh 2026

Nyaya Udghoṣh is a national-level Judgment Writing Competition and Conclave organized by the Competitive Examinations Guidance Committee (CEGC) at National Law University Odisha (NLUO).The competition is designed to nurture the craft of judicial writing by placing law students in the role of a judge. The participants through this competition will engage with a carefully designed legal problem and are expected to analyse the facts, issues and interpret relevant statutes and precedents and deliver a reasoned judgment. The aim is to encourage clarity of thought and precision in legal reasoning and application of principles of justice.

The Conclave shall be open to everyone. However, for those wanting to attend only the conclave must register themselves for the same through the registration link provided hereunder in the brochure. It is meant to be a space for learning that goes beyond the competitive part of the judgment writing event. The conclave, which is completely online, allows the members of the judging panel to come together and enlighten the participants about the art of judicial reasoning and the qualities that make the writing of judgments easy and effective.
