Odiya Pakhya 2026

The Odisha government will observe Odia Pakhya for the second consecutive year from April 1 to April 14, coinciding with Odisha Day and Odia New Year. This fortnight-long celebration aims to promote Odia language, literature, culture, and traditions through community-focused activities. Various government departments will organize events including observance of special days, blood donation camps, and heritage runs.

The initiative seeks to reconnect people with Odisha's heritage and promote its language and culture on a wider platform, with a focus on grassroots and youth participation.
